City Of Mandurah

The City of Mandurah is Western Australia’s largest regional city and covers an area of 173.5 square kilometres. It is home to more than 85,000 people with an average increase of 1500 new residents each year over the past five years. Between 2016 and 2036, the population for the City of Mandurah is forecast to increase by 36,778 persons (44.26% growth), at an average annual change of 1.85%.

Located approximately 45 kilometres from the Perth CBD, Serpentine Jarrahdale is set against the picturesque backdrop of the Darling Scarp and covers an area of 905 square kilometres.

Shire Of Waroona

Located in the south western corner of Western Australia’s Peel region, the Waroona shire is just over 100 kilometres from the state capital of Perth, less than 50 kilometres from the Peel regional city of Mandurah, and less than 100 kilometres from the South West regional centre of Bunbury.

The shire stretches from sea to scarp between the Indian Ocean and the Darling Scarp, featuring pristine beaches, lakes on the coastal plains, fertile farmlands and peaceful jarrah forests. Covering a total area of 835 km2, the Shire includes the localities of Waroona, Hamel, Lake Clifton and Preston Beach.

Communities within the shire have been connected locally and regionally, with forestry, agriculture and mining responsible for establishing and connecting these communities through road, rail and social networks. This connection has continued through to the present day with strong social, arts, cultural and sporting ties.
