Community Sector Sustainability
Funding Required: Initiatives range from $240,000 to $4.95 million
Funding Purpose: Business assessment and planning, business support services ($500,000). Innovation, equipment, research and development ($2,500,000)
Funding allocations and suitable contracts are needed to enable the Community Sector to address current and emerging gaps in community and community health service delivery across the region.
Initiatives include –
~ Life Skills Curriculum in WA Schools
~ Extension of men’s behaviour change programs, voluntary and mandated, in the region
~ Additional Child and Parent Centres in regional growth centres
~ Transitional Housing for Families
~ Respite care for young people aged 12-15
